Mothers Day 2010

So this was technically my first Mothers day! Last year I celebrated by going to lunch with my parents and Corey with loads of french fries and milkshakes to try to quell my nausea. This year was amazing! It started out on Friday by Corey coming home with a dozen red roses. Apparently Andrew had used his allowance to buy them for me, and Corey simply picked them up. He is pretty resourceful for a almost 6 month old baby!

Saturday after feeding the baby, Mandrew and I slept into 9:30! It was amazing! Not only that but when I work up Corey had gotten me a soy latte and donut. Then Corey did our grocery shopping and watched the baby while I went to the gym and ran. After that our little family stopped at Subway, got packed up for the pool and headed out to swim the rest of the afternoon. We rented a movie and then called it a day. I called it an amazing day.Sunday was Mothers day. I woke up with snuggles from both of my boys. I headed to work at church and later met Corey and Andrew there. I left work and Corey had a surprise planned. He said to grab a pair of socks and that hopefully I was up for mozzarella sticks and pizza. I am usually a salad, fruit, grilled chicken kind of girl so didnt say anything but was hoping against the bowling alley Idea he was implying. I also was really hoping he wouldnt plan something that involved bringing our baby into a smoky alley for a couple of hours. I smiled and didnt ask any questions and went along for the ride. Well we pulled into Jackalope Ranch where he had reservations for Mothers Day brunch. I was greeted with a rose and felt like a queen.

The food was AMAZING! Prime rib, omlettes, crepes, chocolate fountain, and everything else you could imagine. We left stuffed and went home to sleep off our fullness :). Oh and baby was amazing! He sat in his seat on the table and smiled and chatted the whole time. After a nice nap I went to Target all by myself AND got a starbucks coffee. I love having my boy with me but there is something so nice about browsing Targets aisles alone. What a wonderful weekend spent with my wonderful family. I am looking forward to the noodle style neclaces and handmade cards to come! I could get used to this Mothers Day Business!
